In the late Northern Dynasties,the Eastern Wei,Northern Qi,and Western Wei,Northern Zhou regimes competed and confronted with each other for decades in Hedong.Local clans were important partners that both sides tried their best to win over.The inscription of the donor of the Thousand Buddha Cave Grottoes in Yingli,Xiangning County,has preserved a wealth of historical information.Through verification,it can be found that local clans forces served in the the Northern Zhou and Northern Qi regimes,and the soldiers of the Jihu tribe were incorporated into the Northern Zhou military system.The Thousand Buddha Cave Grottoes in Yingli,Xiangning County are precious stone carvings and evidence for understanding the local society in the Northern Dynasties.
