"Post-Qianjia Era"in Chinese Hermeneutic Tradition of Classics
After the decline of textual criticism of Qianjia era in Qing Dynasty, the Chinese hermeneutic tradition of classics entered the"Post-Qianjia era"and continued until the Sino-Japanese War.At this period,it has become a widely debated issue among Chinese scholars to summarize, reflect, and criticize textual criticism of Qianjia, attempting to surpass textual criticism of Qianjia to construct new paradigms for interpreting Chinese classics. The tradition of Chinese classic interpretation has always attempted to internally construct a mature and unified paradigm of classic interpretation. However, the forceful introduction of Western learning interrupted this process, marking the end of the"Post-Qianjia era".From the perspective of classical interpretation, reconstructing a new paradigm of classical interpretation has long been an important issue in Chinese academia.
