多模态话语分析视域下外宣短视频字幕的翻译方法——以中新社"洋小新"系列短视频为例

摘要
随着当今社交媒体和互联网的迅速发展,短视频逐渐成为对外宣传和讲好中国故事的新阵地,字幕翻译是助阵其跨文化传播的重要媒介."洋小新"是中新社制作的外宣系列短视频,从多模态话语理论的文化、语境、内容和表达四个层面分析,其字幕翻译综合运用了回避、折中、强化等策略,以及直译、意译、仿译等翻译方法,能最大限度地还原外宣短视频作品的文化内涵和政治语境,为新时期提升外宣短视频字幕翻译质量、讲好中国故事提供借鉴和参考.
Abstract
With the rapid development of social media and the Internet,short-form video has gradually become a new front for global publicity and telling authentic Chinese stories,and subtitle translation is an important medium for its cross-cultural communication."Yang Xiaoxin"is a global publicity short-form video series produced by China News Service.With regard to its subtitle translation,by analyzing the original text from the four aspects of multimodal discourse analysis theory including culture,context,content and expression,adopting ways of avoidance,compromise and reinforcement,and using translation methods such as literal translation,liberal translation and imitation,the cultural connotation and political context of the global publicity short-form video can be ideally restored.It is expected to provide a reference for improving the subtitling quality of global publicity short-form videos and telling authentic Chinese stories in the new era.
