Rockfall-based risk assessment of high-level dangerous rock mass in valley area
In order to reduce the threat of high-level dangerous rock mass to the construction land in the valley area, this paper takes a commercial and residential community in the valley area as an example to discuss the risk assessment results of high-level dangerous rock mass. Through data collection and on-site investigation, the Rockfall model software was used to calculate the risk of high-level dangerous rock mass in the valley area upon the current geological safety of the community, and evaluate the risk of geological hazards so as to facilitate preventive measure application. Rockfall simulation software calculates the current situation of the dangerous rock in the valley area, the movement path and the farthest threat distance under the design scenario conditions, and determines the geological hazard risk level within the red line set for the construction land. The results show that under the current conditions, the medium-risk area within the construction red line in the valley area is about 112.15 m2. Under the design scenario, all areas within the construction red line are low-risk areas.
