Evaluation of soil environment status of cultivated land around a mining plant
It is of vital importance to find out the environmental impact of small-scale mining plants on the surrounding culti-vated land so as to carry out evaluation and control of potential pollution in later stages. Using a single pollution index, Nairomi's comprehensive pollution index, land statistics and other methods, this paper evaluates the pollution status of the cultivated land soil caused by a mining plant based on soil risk degree, exceeding-standard multiple, and background value comparison. The analy-sis results show that: heavy metals, hexavalent chromium, mercury and cyanide of the cultivated land surrounding the plant area impose no risk to the quality of the soil environment, the soil environment of the cultivated land is safe, and the quality of the soil envi-ronment can be controlled. The rating of excessive chemical presence in the cultivated land is as follows: fluoride > manganese > cad-mium > arsenic > zinc > lead, in which the content of lead may have been affected by history factors or other nearby enterprises.
