Overview of hyperspectral remote sensing technology and its application in environmental geology
Hyperspectral remote sensing technology is a highly powerful comprehensive scientific technology that has seen exten-sive application across various domains, leveraging its strengths in real-time data acquisition, spectral information richness,cost-effectiveness,extensive coverage, and the benefits of high resolution and map integration. This manuscript delineates the founda-tional principles of hyperspectral remote sensing imaging, traces the evolution of hyperspectral imagers and satellites both at home and abroad, and elucidates the outcomes of employing hyperspectral remote sensing in mine environmental monitoring, aquatic ecosystem surveillance, and soil moisture assessment. However, hyperspectral remote sensing still confronts challenges such as"dimensional catastrophe",suboptimal accuracy, constrained temporal resolution, and the intricacies in interpreting hy-perspectral data.Looking forward, enhancements in accuracy can be attained through the integration of multi-platform data and the application of artificial intelligence algorithms, while the development of representative spectral libraries will augment the versatility of the models.
