Demands for urban geological work to serve high-quality development under the new situation in Shanghai
Urban geological work is an important contributor to efficient governance and high-quality development of Shanghai mega-city.This article focuses on the implementation of major national and local strategies as well as the characteristics and exist-ing difficulties of Shanghai's urban geological work.It analyzes the new demands for urban geological work in supporting"dual evaluation"and urban physical examination and evaluation,promoting geological environment monitoring and early warning,co-ordinating the rational development,utilization and protection of geological resources,strengthening smart geological construc-tion and geological technology innovation.New ideas are proposed to strengthen basic geological research and technological inno-vation,carry out refined and multi-element comprehensive surveys,and promote the upgrading of urban geological work through digitalization.
