Treatment of total petroleum hydrocarbons(C10-C40)in oil mud sands by hydrothermal carbonization combined with chemical cleaning technology
Oil mud sand is an oily rock debris produced by oil-based drilling mud in the process of oil and gas exploration and de-velopment.It is difficult to treat and poses a potential threat to the ecological environment and human health. Therefore,it is ur-gent to find a treatment method for oil mud sand resource utilization. This paper takes the oil mud sand provided by China Oil-field Services Limited(COSL)as a sample, and explores a new formula for resource utilization of oil mud sand through the method of hydrothermal carbonization combined with chemical cleaning technology. When the experimental device is set at a maximum temperature of 250℃,pressures of 3-4 MPa,and constant temperatures of 2-3 h,the optimal solid-liquid ratio is ob-tained(oil mud sand(g)/cleaning solution volume(L))=50:3.First deoiling catalyst X+first demulsification catalystY+complex agent Z(second deoiling catalyst A+second demulsification catalyst B+alkaline cleaning agent C)is 16.7 g·L-1+16.7 mL L-1+2 g·L-1.This new formula resulted from the pilot experiment can reduce the oil content of oil mud sand from about 6.31%to be-low 0.30%.The total petroleum hydrocarbon content now meets the"Control Standards for Agricultural Sludge Pollutants"(GB4284-2018).The solid oil mud sand is transformed from hazardous waste to general solid waste, providing a reference for the large-scale treatment of oil mud sand in actual engineering sites.
