Deformation characteristics and prevention measures of a rainfall induced landslide in Shiyan,Hubei Province
Landslides generally have clear boundary characteristics and multiple instances of local instability have occurred in Shi-yan in history, posing a significantly potential threat. This paper chooses six monitoring points to analyze landslide deformation characteristics. Before taking preventive measures, the cumulative deformation values of the six monitoring points range from 103.69 to 197.80 mm,with an average of 160.68 mm.Surface cracks have also occasionally developed, indicating significant de-formation characteristics of landslides. In the stability calculation process, the stability coefficient of the Z-Z'profile of the main sliding surface ranges from 1.022 to 1.172 under conditions of 1 to 3,which is in an unstable-to-stable state.According to deforma-tion prediction, the deformation of the landslide will continue to increase at very high rate, indicating that the stability of the land-slide tends to weaken in the future. The landslide prevention and control plan is designed as"anti-slip pile+drainage ditch",and af-ter taking landslide prevention and control measures, the stability coefficient of the main sliding surface ranges from 1.345 to 1.856,all in a stable state. In addition, the deformation value of the anti-slip pile ranges from 19.12 to 26.80 mm,all within the de-formation control value range, fully demonstrating that the landslide prevention and control measures are reasonable and effective.
