摘要
基于CMDS数据和城市数字经济发展指数,研究发现:数字经济发展可以显著提高农民工城市定居意愿,在进行一系列稳健性检验后,该结论仍然成立.作用机制分析显示,积极的就业效应即促进更加充分就业及实现更高质量就业是其中的作用机制.异质性分析发现,女性、高学历及流动时间较长的农民工所受影响更大.结论为加快建设数字中国,促进农民工实现高质量充分就业,推进实现新型城镇化战略等提供了经验证据.
Abstract
Based on the data of China Migrants Dynamic Survey(CMDS)and prefecture-level cities in 2017,this paper builds an urban digital economy index to study the impact of digital economy development on the urban settlement intention of rural migrant worker and its mechanism.It is found that the development of digital economy can significantly improve the urban settlement intention of rural migrant workers.Moreover,this conclusion is still valid after a series of robustness tests.According to heterogeneity analysis,those female rural migrant workers with higher education and longer period of migration are more affected.According to the analysis of action mechanism,the positive employment effect is an important mechanism for the digital economy to improve the settlement intention of rural migrant workers.The conclusion of this paper can provide theoretical support for developing the digital economy,improving the full and high-quality employment of rural migrant workers,and promoting the realization of new urbanization.
