国家高新区与城市生态效率——基于228个城市的准自然实验分析

以国家高新区设立作为一项准自然实验,基于2006-2021年中国228个地级市面板数据,运用空间双重差分法探讨国家高新区设立对城市生态效率的影响.结果表明:我国城市生态效率呈波动上升趋势,在观察期内提高了36.84%;国家高新区设立有利于提高城市生态效率,尤其对地理邻近城市的生态效率具有显著促进作用,且经过一系列稳健性检验结果依旧显著;异质性检验表明,国家高新区设立对中小城市和大城市生态效率的影响更为显著;机制分析表明,国家高新区设立通过结构升级、政策倾向和技术进步三种途径提高了城市生态效率.
National High-Tech Zones and Urban Eco-Efficiency:A Quasi-Experimental Analysis Based on 228 Cit-ies
Based on the panel data of 228 prefecture-level cities in China from 2006 to 2021,this paper uses the spa-tial differential method to investigate the impact of the establishment of national high-tech zones on urban ecologi-cal efficiency.Results show that the urban ecological efficiency manifested a fluctuating upward trend and in-creased by 36.84%during the observation period.The establishment of national high-tech zones is conducive to improving urban ecological efficiency,especially the ecological efficiency of geographically adjacent cities,with the results of a series of robustness tests being significant as well.The heterogeneity test shows that the establish-ment of national high-tech zones has a more significant impact on the ecological efficiency of small and medium-sized cities as well as big cities.The mechanism analysis shows that it has improved the ecological efficiency of cit-ies in three ways:structural upgrading,policy orientation,and technological progress.
