Exploration of Accompanying Rural Co-construction Through Multi-party Participation:A Case Study of Shuangqiao Village in Quzhou
In the context of fully implementing the rural revitalization strategy in the new era, multiple stakeholders have increasingly become involved in the process of rural construction.Based on a review of existing theoretical research and practical experiences, this paper expands the concept of co-creation from the human settle-ment environment to the idea of companion rural planning. It analyzes the process of companion co-construction in Shuangqiao Township in three aspects, namely, local application during the planning and design stage, exploration of companion pathway during implementation, and multi-party collaboration and self-regulation after project completion.Through summarizing the dynamics and win-win outcomes of multi-party participation, the paper concludes that participatory co-creation on rural social spaces demonstrates a feature of gradual continuity. The transformation of roles and professional guidance provided by planners in the co-construction process have a far-reaching positive impact on invigorating the countryside and fostering a virtuous circle of local development.
