Preliminary Exploration of Key Surveying and Mapping Techniques for Constructing the Metaverse
Metaverse is a new kind of"digital society"which consists of digital space and digital humans. The Spacetime of metaverse is an organic combination of digital twin and digital native,and the construction of twin earth' s new spacetime plays a main role in the meta-verse. Building digital foundation of the metaverse and achieving digital twin of reality requires the support of new mapping technologies. By analyzing the technical reference architecture and construction approaches of the metaverse,key surveying and mapping technologies for con-structing the metaverse,such as three-dimensional collection and intelligent entity modeling,have been proposed. Combined with applica-tions,a case study of the construction of the metaverse has been provided.
