Long-term Settlement and Research Analysis of Subway Tunnels in Wuhan Soft Soil Areas
Taking the rectangular tunnel of Wuhan Metro Line 8 access section line as the object of analysis, nearly five years of metro op-eration monitoring settlement data and engineering geological conditions along the tunnel, groundwater and surrounding construction are com-pared and analyzed to systematically study the long-term settlement pattern of metro tunnels. The results indicate that the maximum cumulative settlement of the entrance and exit section tunnel is 106. 1mm,and three large settlement grooves have been formed along the line. The thick and unevenly distributed soft soil layer beneath the tunnel structure, the groundwater level, and the development of the overlying property are the main reasons for the long-term settlement of the entrance and exit sections. The long-term settlement problem of rail transit structures needs to be comprehensively considered in conjunction with"design construction operation".
