Application of Global Mapper in Reservoir Capacity Calculation and Sedimentation Analysis
Based on the fast and accurate calculation of reservoir capacity,and the purpose of comparing and analyzing reservoir capacity siltation with the original capacity,the Global Mapper software's capacity calculation and DEM overlay analysis functions were used to conduct application experiments on reservoir capacity review engineering examples. The results showed that the accuracy of using Global Mapper to calculate reservoir capacity was comparable to that of contour method,with high efficiency and reliability,the results of DEM overlay analysis can visually display the distribution of reservoir capacity and sedimentation,which helps to provide decision-making for management units in erosion,sedimentation,and sand erosion.
