Monitoring of Vegetation Restoration in Burned Areas Using Sequential Remote Sensing Images
In order to monitor the vegetation changes in the areas affected by the 2019 Qipan Mountain fire and study the vegetation resto-ration patterns in the burned areas of forest land in northern China, used NDVI(normalized difference vegetation index)difference data from images before and after April 17,2019 to extract the burned areas. And based on the dimidiate pixel model, analyzed the changes of vegetation coverage in the burned areas using multi-temporal images from 2018 to 2022.The results shows that after the fire,a large area of high vegeta-tion was damaged, and some areas even showed exposed ground. After three years of artificial restoration and natural restoration, the vegetation coverage in the area where the fire occurred has been restored to varying degrees, but there is still a certain gap before the fire.
