The administrative boundaries serve as the dividing line of the jurisdiction rights of adjacent administrative area.These bound-aries reflect the administrative authority of the local government.The demarcation work of township-level administrative boundaries in Zhen-jiang is based on high-resolution remote sensing images and utilizes advanced technologies such as surveying and geographic information sys-tem to build a city-wide four-level boundaries vector database.It provides the governments data support for the elaborate and accurate man-agement.This paper expounds a detailed description of the workflow for verifying village-level management lines,demarcating township-level administrative boundaries and elaborating county-level administrative boundaries,as well as compilation method of agreement and inset map.Furthermore,this paper summarize a set of reproducible and extendable boundaries demarcation process.These processes can offer a reference for other cities in demarcating township-level administrative boundaries.
