Implementation-oriented Strategy Exploration of the Whole-process Urban Design:Taking Xi'an National Games City as an Example
The urban design of the National Games City in Xi'an International Trade and Logistics Park is born at the historic moment of the host of the 14th National Games,aiming to create an innovative,coordinated,green,open,and shared new city.To ensure the effective connection between the upper-level planning of urban design and its implementation management,this project introduces the whole-process design strategy,pursuing an effective layer-by-layer focus on and the top-down transmission of design concepts and striving for the accurate implementation of regional urban design.The article analyzes the urban design of the National Games City,combs through the three-level transmission of the overall planning between the upper-level planning,core-area design,and implementation of key projects,puts forward the control elements,including public space,architectural scene,and slow traffic system,in order to promote the area to become a model of ecological,open,functional,and cultural construction,and provide a reference for the implementation of the whole-process urban design in China.
