Experimental study on grinding control parameters of small curved rail surface grinding machine
To analyze the influence of grinding wheel peripheral grinding parameters on the quality and effectiveness of rail grinding as well as seeking the best matching relationship between each one,this study adopted a combination of theory and experiment to conduct a peripheral grinding theory analysis,a feed mechanism scheme modification and a rail grinding experimental research on the self-developed small lithium electric curved rail surface grinding machine.By establishing a grinding force model of the abrasive grain of the grinding wheel,the grinding parameters related to the grinding force were obtained.The effects and variation of the running speed,grinding pressure and grinding times on the rail longitudinal surface roughness,grinding amount,the grinding motor voltage,current and power consumption were analyzed.The main conclusions are drawn as follows.With the increase of the running speed and grinding times,the rail longitudinal surface roughness slightly increase,and the grinding times to obtain the optimal rail longitudinal surface roughness should not be too many.The grinding amount decreases with the increase of grinding times and running speed,and increasing with the increase of the grinding pressure,the maximum grinding amount of each collection point is larger after grinding 2~4 times.The recommended range of the grinding pressure is between 300~500 N,and the optimal running speeds for grinding pressures(300,400,and 500 N)are between 1~2 km/h,2~3 km/h,and 3~4 km/h,respectively.The voltage of the grinding motor does not fluctuate significantly,while the current and power gradually increase with the increase of running speed and grinding pressure.The power consumption of the motor is between 3~6 kW,with a maximum value not exceeding 7 kW.The grinding pressure fluctuation range of the modified feed mechanism is basically maintained around the set value.Its maximum fluctuation range does not exceed±20 N.The results can provide a theoretical basis for improving the automation level of small rail grinding machine and bettering the product design,technology research and development.
