Based on the overall planning and design of the Garden Expo Town of the 14th China (Hefei) International Garden Expo, the development mode of the Garden Expo Park is analyzed under the background of the new era, the common problems of the previous Garden Expo and the characteristics of the old site of Hefei Garden Expo Park are summarized, and design strategies and technical measures are put forward from the aspects of "point im-provement, organic renewal""renewal with the'old' airport story""operation leader, national experience""following the trend, green ecology"etc. Taking the Garden Expo as an opportunity, the old urban space will be renewed, while the urban public space with high people's participation, environmental friendliness and sustainable growth of ur-ban vitality will be created, so as to provide references for similar urban renewal projects.
