Renewal Planning of Urban Center Marginal Community from the Inclusive Perspective: Taking Baixiang Street Community in Yuzhong District, Chongqing as an Example
In the process of rapid urban expansion, old communities located on the edge of the central area face challenges, which are in stark contrast to the material space and eco-nomic environment of the central area. Taking the existing problems of the Baixiang Street community in Yuzhong District, Chongqing as the starting point, through on-site research and analysis of its location, history, population structure and needs, material space, etc., it is clear that the community is facing problems such as functional lag, spatial fragmentation, and crowd estrangement. From an inclusive perspective, a renewal and optimization strategy of "connecting Yuzhong, integrating communities, and tourist buildings" is proposed, and a renewal planning scheme suitable for sustainable development of the com-munity is formulated, to provide references for the optimi-zation of marginal community in the urban center area.
