Spatial Reconstruction of Campus Linear Streetscape Based on the Theory of Spirit of Place:Taking Landscape Corridor Design for Campus Road in Peking University as an Example
Based on the conceptual framework of spirit of place,the constituent elements and functional attributes of the linear corridor are explored,design system of landscape corridors are analyzed through four aspects of the space,facilities,human environment and behavior,the spatial reconstruction strategies of linear streetscape are pre-sented with the help of the minimal intervention,space multiple utilization,ecological sustainability and public participation. Taking landscape corridor design for cam-pus road in Peking University as an example,in the view of problems existing in the site,such as the fuzzy campus axis sequence,intermingled traffic congestion,periodic rainstorm and waterlogging,and lack of communication in the closed streetscape,systematic design scheme of linear streetscape are put forward from the perspectives of spatial orientation and cultural identification,to recon-struct landscape corridor for campus road.
