The overall urban design is facing new requirements under the background of territorial spatial planning. In order to effectively connect and support the overall plan-ning of land space,implementing the requirements of the control of all elements in the whole area,emphasizing the identification and application of characteristic elements,and running through the whole process of "planning,construction and management",taking Jiujiang City as an example,the overall urban design practice is carried out from the aspects of style positioning,spatial pattern,planning system,design strategy,and implementation transmission,in order to provide references for the overall urban design of other cities.
