With the rapid development of urbanization, historical and cultural districts are facing dual challenges of protection and development. Taking Moshikou historical and cultural district in Beijing as the research object, focusing on ex-ploring how to achieve organic renewal in the context of modern urbanization. Through methods of questionnaire surveys, on-site investigations and in-depth interviews, the existing problems in ecology, culture, community, transportation, and business formats of the block are analyzed, proposing strategies for reducing quantity and improving quality, ecology, culture and art and lifestyle, emphasizing the importance of organic renewal and multi-party governance, aiming to achieve sustainable development of the historical and cultural block, to provide theoretical basis and practical guidance for the modern transformation of the Moshikou block, as well as references for the renewal of other historical and cultural blocks.
