With the continuous deepening of socio-economic de-velopment and urbanization transformation, Nanjing has gradually carried out all-factor and all-round organic urban renewal, in this context, as a new professional group, the working mechanism and content are not fully clarified. Although the work of community planners has formed certain experience and foundation, the systematic work based on the actual needs of Nanjing still faces dif-ficulties, the difficulties in promoting community planning work in Nanjing are analyzed from the three aspects of requirements of life circle planning, the characteristics of community renewal and the demands for resource integration in grassroots construction, to propose optimi-zation suggestions based on classified strategies.
