In the context of rural revitalization, the main role of cultural empowerment is the protection of rural cultural heritage and the continuation of local cultural life, while promoting the collection of characteristic cultural re-sources, the display of characteristic culture and art, and the protection of characteristic cultural heritage require apatial carriers. Taking Houjie Village of Houjie Town in Dongguan City as an example, the existing problems are put forward, the planning and design strategies under the scenario theory are summarized, in order to provide references for other rural planning and design.
