Rural Revitalization and Development Strategy in Southern Jiangsu Province Under the Guidance of Industry Orientation:Taking Shanlian Village in Wuxi as an Example
The level of urbanization in the southern region of in Southern Jiangsu Province is relatively high,yet rural development still faces many problems. The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the strategy for rural revitalization,aiming to guide rural areas towards sustainable development through distinc-tive industries. Taking Shanlian Village in Wuxi as an example,based on its unique industries and resources,four major approaches are proposed of "highlighting natural landscapes,promoting quality,shaping distinct characteristics,and planning for development",revitaliza-tion strategies are then presented from four perspectives of landscape structure,transportation system,industrial economy and living environment. Additionally,cultural tourism and festival activities centered around specialized industries are planned to create suburban rural pastoral complex in the new era.
