As an important component of natural and cultural heri-tage,regional landscapes carry the historical memories and cultural identities of different regions.In the current context of socio-economic development,the impor-tance of regional landscapes has become increasingly prominent.Through scientific planning and protection measures,the quality of the ecological environment can be improved and regional cultural characteristics can be inherited.Exploring the concept of regional landscape,analyzing its unique connotations in classical gardens and modern landscape,to propose key design elements for regional landscape.Taking representative modern landscape practice in different regions such as South China,East China,Central China,North China,North-east China,Southwest China and Northwest China as the starting point,exploring regional landscape design strategies and demonstrating how to maintain regional landscape characteristics and promote sustainable de-velopment through protection and innovative design,in order to provide the theoretical framework and practical guidance for regional landscape design.
