Abstract
As the key municipal project for environmental construc-tion in the capital,the overall environmental renewal of Sanlitun Road and South Sanlitun Road,with the total length of 2.5 kilometers,is not only the typical represen-tative of the renewal of key characteristic streets and alleys in the city,but also one of the important measure for the capital to build an international consumption center city.Its detailed introduction to the background,strategy and effectiveness of the renewal and upgrading are provided,under the overall idea of reshaping the pedestrian-friendly street,the area has made significant improvements in traffic organization,functional struc-ture,landscape quality and business environment,summarizing them will help optimize and refine the work path and methods of this type of renewal practice.
