Ecological regions are important carriers of ecological civilization construction,and the important areas related to national development strategies or regional ecolog-ical security have higher requirements for ecological protection,having more urgent needs for ecological se-curity de-risking,facing more prominent contradictions between protection and development.Taking Shiyan Hanjiang Eco-city as an example,the key problems faced by major ecological regions are analyzed from three aspects of management level improvement,safety de-risking,and green development path,analyzing the key challenges faced by major ecological regions,pro-posing implementation paths for promoting high-quality development and high-level protection in the coordinat-ed manner,to provide references for similar ecological region planning.
