She writes about truth, goodness and beauty, as she looks at the world with her inner eyes and speaks out the beauty in her heart. In addition, she integrates rich Chinese narrative into her prose, blending Chinese stories, Chinese traditions, customs and beliefs together to strike her readers with distinctive Chinese style. By interpreting the Chinese elements in Dora's prose, we can better understand the native feelings of the Chinese living in Southeastern Asia and the blossom of Chinese culture on foreign soil. We can also use this help to promote Chinese culture to the whole world. Dora's Chinese narrative has arguably opened a new window for the world to view China.
