A Practical Exploration on the Reform of Rotation Training Mode in Biology Graduate Laboratory Preliminary Study and Investigation Analysis
In this paper,we present a preliminary reform of the laboratory rotation training mode for bi-ology graduate students at the Biotechnology Center of Southwest University. The primary objective of this training is to enhance the innovative consciousness and skills of graduate students.Following a one-year pe-riod of teaching practice reform,a questionnaire survey was administered to 38 graduate students in order to assess the advantages and disadvantages of this training mode,in addition to evaluating students'needs, perceptions, feedback, and observed teaching outcomes. The findings indicate the success of the new labo-ratory rotation training mode for biology graduate students. The students displayed a greater acceptance of this specialized learning approach, which involved working in different laboratories under the guidance of various tutors.Specifically,94.73% of the surveyed students acknowledged the importance of implemen-ting laboratory rotation training, while 68.42% and 55.26% observed enhancements in their professional knowledge and comprehensive understanding, respectively. Moreover, there were notable improvements in experimental skills and professional competencies, thereby establishing a strong foundation for the selec-tion and design of graduate subjects as well as the cultivation of a comprehensive skill set.
