Effect of fertilization on the yield of mixed grassland(Medicago+Bromus inermis)
The effects of N,P and K fertilizers on the yield of Medicago + Bromus inermis mixed grassland under different application rates were studied in Inner Mongolia. The results indicated that the proper fertilization could improve the growth of Bromus inermis and Medicago varia cv. Caoyuan No. 2. P fertilizer showed the best effect on Medicago and meanwhile N fertilizer on Bromus inermis. High level of K and N application significantly reduced the first clipping yield of Medicago (P<0. 05). The appropriate fertilizer application combination for stable community was N2 , P1 ,K2 Formula (basic fertilizer: carbamide 20 g/m2 ,ordinary superphosphate 30 g/m2 and potassium chloride 20 g /m2 ;supplemental fertilizer: carbamide 30 g/m2,ordinary superphosphate 50 g/m2 and potassium chloride 30 g/m2). In the first year, the grass yields of Bromus inermis from first clipping and second clipping accounted for 44. 47% and 71. 1% of the community, and which was 63. 62% of total yield. In the second year, the grass yield of Bromus inermis from three clippings accounted for 39. 23% ,59. 73% and 37. 76% of the community, and which was 46. 64% of total yield.
