Preliminary report on introduction trial of Triticale in semi-arid area of western Heilongjiang Province
Nine Triticale varieties were used to conduct the variety comparative test in Qiqihar. Two forage type varieties were screened out(FH2158 and WOH939)by evaluating the growth period, stress resistance, feeding value and productivity. They were higher leaf proportion, low stem-leaf ratio and higher forage yield, and the hay yields were 12 166.94 kg/ha and 11 763.41 kg/ha respectively,which were 9.28％ and 5.66％ higher than the control( 6 Chang-3,11133.22 kg/ha)respectively. And two grain type varieties were screened out as well(6 Chang-10 and 6 Chang-3) and they performed higher grain yield(4 698.73 kg/ha and 4 145.94 kg/ha respectively). So,these four varieties were suitable in western Heilongjiang Province.
