Response of non-structural carbohydrates content to low phosphorus stress of sainfoin
[Objective]This study aimed to investigate the changes and responses of non-structural carbohy-drate and phosphorus content in low-phosphorus-tolerant and phosphorus-sensitive sainfoin under low phospho-rus stress.[Method]This experiment adopted a nutrient solution sand culture method in which materials 6,5,1,10 295 and Onobrychis viciaefolia'Gansu'were used as experimental materials. These materials were treated with con-stant normal phosphate(1.00 mmol/L KH2PO4,NP)and deficient phosphate stress(0.01 mmol/L KH2PO4,LP).Samples were collected at 0 d,12 d and 24 d,respectively, and the contents of soluble sugar, starch, reducing sugar, sucrose and phosphorus in stem and leaf, root were determined.[Result]Underlow-phosphorous stress, within the stems and leaves, soluble sugar, starch, and sucrose content initially reduced and then increased, while the reducing sugar content consistently decreased. In the roots, soluble sugar content and reducing sugar content showed a trend of decrease, starch content initially increased and then decreased, and sucrose contentinitially decreased and then in-creased.Phosphorus content decreased with increasing duration of stress.[Conclusion]Based on a comprehensive analysis using the membership function method, material 5 had a strong tolerance to low-phosphorus,and material 1 had a weak tolerance low-phosphorus.
