Simplicity and Modernity:Aesthetic Concepts and Design Ideas in the Military and Civilian Clothing of Yan'an during the Anti-Japanese War
During the Anti-Japanese War,the materials in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region was quite scarce,which is due to both the natural conditions in the northwest and the impact of the wartime environment.In this way,the military and civilians in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region presented a simple aesthetic and pragmatic value system in clothing,which was specifically reflected in the emergence of three design strategies in design.Firstly,tailoring to the needs-a design concept centered on conservation.Secondly,models of spontaneous design transformation under the intellectual Influence.Thirdly,the flexible design methods of identity and multiplicity.The personality and fashion of Yan'an are limited,but they are also precious,which shows us the optimistic spirt and innovative design spirit of Yan'an people in those difficult years.
