Embodied Perception and Memorial Exhibition Design
Embodiment theory has significantly altered traditional cognitive approaches that overly rely on representational and quantitative methods. It emphasizes the effects of more direct perception pathways, such as human body movement and interaction,in information generation. This theory plays a notable role and holds functional value in the design of specific themes and content.Applying embodied cognition theory to memorial exhibition spaces and design methods can offer new creative directions and expressions, thereby effectively enhancing audience experience and cognition. This paper attempts to validate and analyze embodied theory through the design techniques of three typical cases, discussing the immersive and profound experiences gained through embodiment. This approach aims to enhance the effectiveness of memorial exhibition design, making the content memorable, inheritable, reflective, and educational.
