As a new type of ideological and political education carrier,"metaverse"has the features of virtual-real integration,rich content,controllable operation and strong practicability.It can effectively solve the problems of homogenization and conformity faced by the career planning of engineering students,such as presenting the thinking process of students through visualization,"accurate"portrait to realize man-ma-chine coeducation,creating realistic scenes to obtain immersive experience,and measuring and writing the changes in the growth of students,etc.,so as to meet the requirements of ideological and political education and thought leadership.However,it is also necessary to pay attention to the risky nature of the"metaverse"field,so as to avoid such problems as capital control,data tracking,network stratification and so on affect-ing the scientific implementation of ideological and political education.
