This paper empirically tests the impact of teaching elements and students'needs on the sense of gain in ideological and politi-cal theory curriculum through questionnaire survey.The results show that teaching elements and students'needs have a sig-nificant positive impact on students'sense of gain in ideological and political theory curriculum;the intermediary effect of students'participation is significant,accounting for 67%,46%,35%and 36%of the total effect of teaching content,teach-ing methods,teachers'quality and students'needs on the sense of gain in ideological and political theory curriculum respec-tively.Colleges and universities should focus on problems to stimulate students'needs,and strengthen the sense of identity of ideological and political theory curriculum,promote the reform concerning"teachers,teaching materials and teaching methods"around students and improve the effect of ideological and political theory curriculum;guide students to participate and enhance the sense of gain of ideological and political theory curriculum.
