The cultivation of outstanding ideological and political instructors in colleges and universities plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of ideological and political education.Clarifying the core factors and mechanisms that influence their development is essential for cultivating exceptional teachers.Utilizing the grounded theory method,this study conducts qualitative research on textual materials from 30 exemplary ideological and political instructors in universities in Zhejiang Province.The findings reveal that four factors impact the growth of outstanding instructors:personality traits,educational passion,level of awareness,and external environment.Among these,personality traits and educational passion serve as driving forces,forming the foundational basis and dynamic support for instructors'development;the external environment provides external impetus,support,and intervention for instructor development behavior;self-awareness level represents both internal efforts towards instructor development as well as direct realistic forces to promote their growth.
