Digital archive resources sharing and personal information protection in archives are both important aspects of digital archiving. However,in practice, there is a conflict between the two, which manifests as issues such as insufficient individual awareness, difficulty in forgetting content, and lack of responsibility for protection in personal information protection during digital archive sharing.Resolving this conflict requires addressing two aspects:the types of personal information in archives and the responsibilities of archival institutions for protection.Firstly, based on the principle of balancing public interest and individual rights, personal information in digital archives should be classified according to the form of interests they carry, and individuals should exercise their rights based on different types of personal information.Secondly, under the conceptual shift from power-based to responsibility-based,the responsibilities of archival institutions for personal information protection should be clarified and allocated in the process of digital archive sharing.
