This article delves into the academic papers on smart archives gathered by CNKI from 2013 to 2023,utilizing CiteSpace visualization analysis software to conduct a statistical examination of the number of publications,journal distribution,author institutions,and high-frequency keywords related to smart archives in China.By presenting the current research status of the academic community on smart archives in a more visually appealing manner,it aims to shed light on the concept of smart archives.The article summarizes and evaluates various concepts related to smart archives,such as the correlation between smart archives and digital archives,the functionalities of smart archives,the technologies employed by smart archives,the constituent elements,and the basic architecture of smart archives,as well as other research focal points.This analysis serves as a valuable resource for future research endeavors in the realm of smart archives.
