The utilization of theoretical resources from master's and doctoral dissertations in archival science through content analysis offers insights into the research landscape and future directions of the discipline.This study holds significance in understanding the distribution patterns and trends of theoretical resources in archival science research.By examining master's and doctoral dissertations in Chinese archives science from 2013 to 2022,the content analysis method uncovers the disciplines of theoretical sources,application methods,and the relationship between research topics and theories.The findings indicate:(1)a diversification of theoretical resources in Chinese archives with limited expansion;(2)a tendency towards superficial theory application and a lack of theoretical innovation;(3)a notable focus on practical applications with Insufficient emphasis on foundational theories.
