Utilizing traditional sports as the entry point,this study explores the practical investigation and theoretical analysis of archival heritage application and non-heritage archiving.Archive application for heritage status,as an effective means,fills the gap in the non-material cultural heritage list by sorting out and presenting archive materials related to traditional sports events,enhances their influence,and promotes their long-term preservation and inheritance.The systematic recording and preservation of non-material cultural heritage archiving for traditional sports events help to comprehensively and deeply understand their historical origins,technical features,and cultural connotations,thus providing a solid foundation for their inheritance and development.In practice,archive application for heritage status and non-material cultural heritage archiving complement each other and jointly contribute to the protection and inheritance of traditional sports events.At the theoretical level,a theoretical framework for the archive application for heritage status and non-material cultural heritage archiving of traditional sports events is constructed from the perspectives of theoretical basis,practical foundation,specific operations,and policy support,emphasizing their significance for the protection of sports non-material cultural heritage.Through the application practice and theoretical analysis of archive application for heritage status and non-material cultural heritage archiving in traditional sports events,this article provides strong theoretical support and practical guidance for the protection and inheritance of China's non-material cultural heritage.
