Uphold Fundamental Principles and Break New Ground:the Theoretical Logic and Practical Progress of Integrating Comprehensive Archives into the Development of Modem Civilization of the Chinese Nation
The mission of building the modem civilization of the Chinese nation has drawn a cultural blueprint for the cultural development of comprehensive archives.Because of the symbiosis between archives and culture,the essence of the archival undertakings belongs to the category of cultural undertakings,which determines that the comprehensive archives have the role and function of accumulating culture and communicate culture,and exist in the space-time dimension as the role of the memory and demonstrator of culture,respectively.In the construction of the modem civilization of the Chinese nation under the proposition of the times,the comprehensive archives as a mine of culture,should be adhering to cultural development requirements that feature"uphold fundamental principles and break new ground".As for upholding fundamental principles,we should maintain the fundamental feature of archival culture,namely managing archives for the Party,improving cultural confidence,and follow a people-oriented approach.As for breaking new ground,we should explore and utilize the archival cultural resources such as archival culture governance,archival leisure experience,and archival cultural industry,so as to push forward the development of archival culture and facilitate the development of modem civilization of the Chinese nation.
