The digital humanities project"Viewing Shanghai with Archives"exemplifies the innovative integration of digital humanities and archives,offering fresh insights for the development and utilization of historical archives.By examining the implementation of this project,we identify its strengths in terms of platform development value,resource foundation,technological application,and development approach.Furthermore,we extract valuable experience to guide the establishment of a digital humanistic platform for advancing historical archives.Building upon this foundation,regarding the development of a digital humanities platform,this paper proposes that further efforts are needed in developing archival resources digitally while incorporating generative AI and other technologies.This approach should be guided by both functional requirements and user demands to provide a valuable reference for advancing historical archives.
