Archival Narrative Research Focused on the Inheritance and Promotion of the Yangtze River Culture:A Case Study of the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge Construction Archives
The inheritance and promotion of the Yangtze River culture plays a critical role in sustaining the continuity of historical narratives and consolidating cultural confidence.Archival departments can participate in these efforts through their unique archival narratives.Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge is an important epitome of the development of the Yangtze River culture in new China.Taking its construction archives as a research case and the four dimensions of narrative theme,narrative structure,narrative perspective and narrative experience as an analytical framework,we can summarize the revelations of the archival narrative work of the construction archives of the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge.In order to enhance the contribution of archives in the inheritance and promotion of the Yangtze River culture,archives can be optimized in four aspects:shaping the narrative theme by integrating with the theme of the era,using non-linear narrative structures in innovative ways,creating novel combinations of narrative perspectives,and stimulating emotional resonance through scene development.
