To understand the current status of the application of AI in Chinese archival field,this study performed content analysis on the 14th Five-year Plan for the development of archival undertakings in national and provincial level,cases of application of artificial intelligence in Chinese archival field,and science and technology projects of the National Archives Administration.It was found that China encourages and supports the application of AI in the archival field,and is currently in the stage of preliminary exploration.Based on the research findings,this paper concludes by putting forward suggestions from three dimensions:promoting the application of AI in the whole process of archival management,promoting the deep integration of AI and archival undertakings,and paying attention to the influencing factors of the successful application of AI in archival undertakings.
