Making efficient use of solar energy and study the spatial distribution of solar energy radiation has become an urgent problem to be solved.Based on the spatial analysis function of GIS,this paper proposes a semi-automatic generation method to study the spa-tial distribution of urban solar energy radiation.This study uses LiDAR data and combines its advantages to establish the research method model of building solar energy radiation spatial distribution of Shandong University of Architecture,which explores a reliable way for the utilization of urban solar energy.
