Based on the advantages of the new 3D laser scanner,such as high accuracy,high efficiency and non-contact,this paper introduces the process of field data acquisition,point cloud processing and result production combined with engineering cases,and dis-cusses and analyzes how to effectively apply the new 3D laser scanner in completion measurement,and verifies the feasibility of the ap-plication of the new 3D laser scanner in completion measurement.It is of great significance to popularize its application in surveying and mapping field.
